White Christmas Mason Jar Luminaries

It’s the most wonderful time of the year (that is, according to all the Christmas music playing on the radio stations these days). Although Christmas music started playing early this year (almost two weeks before Thanksgiving!), I’ve fully embraced the upcoming holiday and all the joy that it brings.

Despite the fact that I live in California and the last snowstorm recorded in Los Angeles was in 1949, I’ve never failed to wish for a white winter each year. Since there’s almost no chance of us getting snow this year (California’s in a drought, y’all), I decided to make a winter craft dedicated to snow. For those of you that are in the same situation as I am, read on to learn more about my DIY winter luminaries.

DIY Thanksgiving Tree Craft

It’s time for Thanksgiving, one of my most favorite holidays of the year! I love everything about this holiday- the family gatherings, the weather, and especially the food!

As we get older, we tend to get caught up with life and all of its ups and downs. There’s so much to be thankful for, yet we kind of forget to just sit down, step back, and simply appreciate all that we have.

This project is for those that don’t mind taking the time to write their thoughts down. This craft really got me thinking about all the things that I have in my life that I am so thankful for.

Fall DIY: Maple Leaf Luminaries

It’s been approximately two weeks since the first day of fall (Sept. 22nd), but I’ve barely noticed any seasonal difference. Temperatures are still in the 90-100 range, but I guess that’s normal for California, right? It still feels like summer, especially when I’m lying in bed at night with the air conditioner on full blast. The only indicators that show the changing of seasons are the Halloween displays in almost every store!

Since it’s fall now, I thought it would be fun to pay homage to the new season and its colorful palette by trying out a fall do-it-yourself. I discovered an easy project online involving maple leaves, candles and mason jars.
